Touring bikes for your cycling holiday in Puglia
The touring bike is the standard bike on our self-guided cycling holidays in Puglia and is included in the price of all 10 classic tours: an aluminium bike with suspension fork, disc brakes, triple crankset and rear rack. Halfway between a city bike and a mountain bike, it is made for the secondary and sometimes unpaved roads our routes follow. We deliver it to your first accommodation, adjusted to your height.
Why a touring bike for Puglia?
Our routes mainly follow quiet secondary roads, with some unpaved stretches. The touring bike is the right compromise: more comfortable and robust than a city bike, lighter and easier to ride on tarmac than a mountain bike.
They are good-quality bikes, all with a suspension fork that softens rough surfaces and disc brakes that work in any weather. Thanks to the triple crankset you have a low gear for every climb.

What comes with the bike
On our tours the touring bike comes with a rear pannier, a lock and a repair kit (spare inner tube, pump and tyre lever); helmet and water bottle are available on request. Your main luggage travels by van from one accommodation to the next, so on the bike you carry only what you need for the day.
We deliver the bike to your first accommodation, hand it over in person, adjust it to your height and collect it at the end of the tour. You are welcome to bring your own saddle or pedals.
On which tours is the touring bike included?
The touring bike is included on all 10 classic self-guided cycling tours; on these tours you can take a gravel bike at no extra cost or an e-bike for a supplement per bike. On our four gravel tours the standard bike is the gravel bike.

Can I ride a touring bike on unpaved roads?
Yes. With its suspension fork it is made for secondary and sometimes unpaved roads; for our gravel tours we provide gravel bikes.
Which model and size will I get?
Models and brands vary according to size and availability. Tell us your height when you book and we adjust the bike for you on delivery.
Can I have clip-in pedals?
Yes. The bike comes with flat pedals; SPD, SPD-SL or Look pedals are available on request, or you can bring your own.
Can I switch to an e-bike?
Yes, for a supplement of € 115 to € 300 per bike depending on the length of the tour.
Can I choose a gravel bike instead?
Yes. On the 10 classic self-guided tours the touring or gravel bike is included, so you can choose either at no extra cost.
