Bike-friendly hotels on our tours in Puglia
On every Apulia Bike Tours trip we book your accommodation for you: authentic B&Bs and 3-star hotels in the Economy category, 4- and 5-star hotels in the Deluxe category, always centrally located and with breakfast included. Each property is chosen for its position on the route, its comfort and how well it looks after cyclists and walkers.
What kind of accommodation will I stay in?
Our list ranges from unique, truly authentic bed & breakfasts to comfortable, well-equipped 3-star hotels, elegant 4-star hotels and luxury 5-star resorts. All of them are central, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the main sights, so in the evening you leave the bike and explore the town on foot.
Every stay includes a rich and varied breakfast: after all, it is the meal that gets you ready for a new ride or walk.
How do we choose our hotels?
We test routes, bikes and accommodation before we sell a tour, and we select every hotel and B&B partner on five criteria. Regular evaluation and feedback from our guests help us keep the list up to date.
- Location: on the tour route, without long detours, close to sights, shops and restaurants
- Cyclist-friendly facilities where possible: secure bike storage, repair tools, laundry, space to clean the bikes
- Quality: rooms, cleanliness, comfort and service
- Price: the right balance between quality and affordability
- Sustainability: priority to eco-friendly properties with sustainable practices
Economy, Deluxe or Comfort Plus: which category?
Our self-guided bike and gravel tours come in two accommodation categories: Economy, with B&Bs and 3-star hotels, and Deluxe, with 4- and 5-star hotels. Walking tours use a single Comfort Plus category. The route, the bike and the services are the same; only the level of the hotels changes.
Prices are per person in a double room. A single room costs 30% more than the base price.
Are meals included?
Breakfast is included every day. Lunches and dinners are not, which leaves you free to choose trattorias and restaurants along the way; the navigation app also includes restaurant recommendations. Tourist taxes are not included in the price.
Custom trips and longer stays
Would you like an extra night in Lecce, Matera or the Itria Valley before or after the tour, or a trip built entirely around your dates? We can add nights and build tailor-made itineraries with the same accommodation partners. Tell us what you have in mind at booking@bikeandhikeitalia.com.

Frequently asked questions
Is breakfast included?
Yes. Every night on our tours includes breakfast; lunches and dinners are not included.
What is the difference between Economy and Deluxe?
Economy uses B&Bs and 3-star hotels, Deluxe uses 4- and 5-star hotels. Route, bike and services are identical.
Can I book a single room?
Yes. The single room supplement is 30% of the base price.
Are the hotels in the town centre?
Yes. All our accommodation is centrally located, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the main sights.
Can I store my bike safely overnight?
Secure bike storage is one of our selection criteria: wherever possible, we choose hotels and B&Bs that offer it.
Can I add extra nights before or after the tour?
Yes. Ask us when you book and we will add the nights to your itinerary.
